A Global Semesters representative will hold a virtual informational session for faculty and students on April 20, 2017 at 5:00PM on the second floor of the Race Hall building. Global Semesters offers both short-term summer and semester-long programs, which Bennett Belles have a long history of attending.
Our international student, Tasneem Qaizar will host a cultural presentation in the Global Learning Center Auditorium on April 17, 2017 5:30-7:00pm.
Pakistan is a land of diverse culture, hospitable people, exquisite beauty, and unique history. It is home to the world’s second highest mountain peak, the largest man made forest, the seventh largest pool of scientists, engineers and much more.This cultural presentation will go beyond media headlines and introduce you to the lives of Pakistanis and their rich traditions portrayed in arts, architecture, dance, language, dress etc.
There will be traditional Pakistani food, music and Henna for guests who attend! Join us for this FREE event to promote and appreciate diversity!
The Center for Global Studies hosted a “Bennett Without Borders” ACES program on Thursday, February 9, 2017. This ACES program will be interactive and will feature guest speaker, Jose Oliva. Thursday’s ACES program will address immigration issues, religious differences, and President Donald Trump’s executive order. Topics of discussion were selected to help the Bennett College community understand what immigrants, refugees, and Muslims experience in our country and how these things influence the world’s view of the U.S. Our goal was to provide a forum where members of the audience can ask questions and hear personal stories by some of those who have been affected. Jose Oliva, Qaleelah Smith ’18, and Aaliyah Carter ’17 were panelists at this program.
SIT study abroad representative, Amy Burrows, visited our campus on Feb. 2, 2017. She she represented SIT at an informational table in the student union from 12pm-1:30pm to share study abroad opportunities through SIT programs with students.
